Frequently asked questions
Is a letter from a friend enough as proof?
No. The Tax Office requires a document in your own name: a lease, utility bill, tax domicile certificate, employment contract showing the address, among others.
Does changing my address change my tax status?
It can. Moving from a foreign address to a Portuguese one generally makes you a tax resident in Portugal. We explain the consequences before proceeding.
Need help with this?
We handle the whole process by power of attorney, so you never have to travel.
