A firm built for people arriving in Portugal
Lage Advocacia grew out of daily practice with foreign nationals who need to settle their tax, employment and immigration status in Portugal quickly and safely.
The office is in Póvoa de Varzim, in the Porto district, and serves clients across the country and abroad. Most files are handled remotely, with a power of attorney certified by the Bar Association and digital documents.
The team combines legal practice, case management and translation. We work in Portuguese and English, and with trusted partners for other languages, which lets us assist clients from many backgrounds without losing precision.
Every file has an owner, a deadline and a record. We know what stage each application is at, what is missing and who is handling it, and we share that information with the client at every stage.
Lawyer in charge
Pedro Lage
Pedro Lage is a lawyer registered with the Portuguese Bar Association (licence no. 67388L). His practice focuses on immigration and nationality law, tax law for non-residents and corporate law, with particular attention to administrative procedures before AIMA, the Tax Authority and Social Security, and the administrative litigation that arises from them.
How we work
Document rigour
We check every document before filing. An unsigned passport or a cropped proof of address costs weeks; we avoid that from the start.
Transparency
Before we proceed, the client knows what is needed, what will happen and in what timeframe.
Professional secrecy
Client data and documents are handled under the lawyer’s duty of confidentiality and the GDPR.
Teamwork
We coordinate with certified accountants and translators whenever the client’s matter requires it, so nothing is left halfway.
Need help with this?
We handle the whole process by power of attorney, so you never have to travel.
